Thomas' 36 points lead freshman boys past Shoemaker, claims 12-6A championship

The Temple boys freshman blue basketball team defeated Killeen defeated Killeen Shoemaker on Tuesday evening and in the process won the Freshman A level District Championship for the 2024-25 season.

After a tight first quarter and leading 11-4 going to the second, the Wildcats got hot with Brycen Thomas and Landon Walker sinking a pair of 3's in the second quarter to extend the lead to 28-19.

Temple was led by Brycen Thomas who scorched the Shoemaker defense with four 3 pointers and 36 points on the night. Thomas posted 13 first half points and 23 second half points.

Also for Temple, Landon walker had 9 points, Tristan Reaves 8, Aiden Hamilton 5, Brody Baxter 4 and with 2 points were De'Andre Green, Alvin Lawrence and Bryson Williams.

Temple will return to action on February 7 when the will host Bryan in the final game of the season beginning at 5:00
