The Temple Wildcats won’t know with certainty whether they’ve earned their third consecutive Class 6A Division I playoff berth until about 9:45 p.m. next Thursday at Killeen’s Searles Stadium.

However, they left no doubt about their firepower in Friday night’s home finale against last-place Bryan at Wildcat Stadium.

Kylan Basinger threw four long first-half touchdown passes totaling 221 yards — two each to Stephen Midturi and Bradyn Williams — and tossed five TDs overall, and Temple’s increasingly feisty defense allowed only seven second-half points as the Wildcats stormed to a 49-21 win over the Vikings.
