CORSICANA — When Temple’s volleyball squad saw Duncanville as its first-round playoff opponent, the Tem-Cats knew they’d have their hands full.
Despite an early effort by Temple, the hard, quick attacks by the Pantherettes were too much to overcome and guided Duncanville to a 25-17, 25-8, 25-9 sweep in a Class 6A Division I bi-district match Thursday night at Navarro College.
Duncanville (40-4) advanced to face Wylie or Rockwall-Heath in the area round, while Temple (24-17) heads into the offseason looking to continue what the Tem-Cats have been building for the past few years.
