Locked in a tie with the third-place Panthers as time wound down, Brown drove the lane and dropped in a layup through traffic on the left side, contorting his body to get off a shot that bounced twice off the rim then straight through the cylinder to give Temple a 40-38 victory over Midway and set off a raucous celebration as the home student section spilled onto Wildcat Gym’s floor.
