COPPERAS COVE - The Tem-Cat basketball team fell to Copperas Cove by a score of 46-35 on Wednesday evening in a 12-6A matchup at Copperas Cove.
Going into the second quarter, the Tem-Cats and Lady Bulldawgs were tied at 11-11. However, Copperas Cove won the second quarter 14-3 and the deficit proved to be to much for the Tem-Cats to overcome.
Temple was led by Dawn Smith with a team high 11 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist while Dejah Thomas posted 8 points, 14 rebounds, 2 steals and a block.
Also for Temple, Jessie Johnson had 9 points7 rebounds, 2 steals; Tierney Perkins 6 points, 2 steals; Kendall Tate 1 points, 1 rebound; Jayla Govan 3 steals, 2 assist, 1 rebound and Paris Morris with 2 rebounds and 1 block.
Temple will return to action on Friday when they will travel to Hewitt to take on Midway at 7:00 pm.
