The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team hosted the Bryan Lady Vikings at Wildcat Gym on Tuesday evening.
After a slow start for the Tem-Cats, Temple rolled in the second quarter 16-2 and went on to defeat Bryan by a score of 52-28 and improve to 6-1 in district play and 17-5 overall.
Leading 15-14 after one, the Tem-Cats went on a 16-2 run before the half led by Aniya Brumet's 6 second quarter points and held a 31-16 advantage.
The third quarter was slow for Temple only managing 4 points but once again, Temple heated up in the fourth with a 17-4 run to close out the game.
Temple was led by Aniya Brumet with 12 points and Ka'Myhria Freeman with 11 points.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Jayden Faulks with 10 points, Mariah Dixon 6 points, Audrey Troup, Sanaa Rice 4 points, Sha'Nyah Roby 3 points and Jazarah Canady with 2 points.
Temple (17-5)will return to action on January 21st when they will travel to Copperas Cove to take on the Lady Bulldawgs at 5:30 pm.
