Watkins 30 points leads JV boys past Killeen 75-71.

The Temple boys junior varsity basketball team returned to the win column on Tuesday with a 75-71 victory over Killeen High at Wildcat Gym.

Temple built an early 30-8 lead on the Kangaroos as Jayden Watkins 14 points and Brendan Watters 12 points led the early surge.

However, the Roos slowly fought back into the contest cutting the Wildcat lead to 56-52 going to the fourth.

In the fourth, it was Watkins who heated up again with 12 more points to help hold off the Killeen rally.

Temple was led by Jayden Watkins with 30 points while Brenden Watters had 20 points.

Also for Temple, Gunnar Westbrook with 7 points, Devonte McClennon 6 points, Pedro Sierra Gomez 4 points and Jeremiah Blunson with 2 points.

Temple will return to action on January 10th when they will travel to Killeen to face Shoemaker at 5:30.
