The Temple Wildcats haven’t won nearly as many games this season as they wanted. They’ve compiled a 1-3 home record and a 1-3 mark in District 12-6A competition.

But with two weeks remaining in the regular season, Temple (2-6) finds itself in a highly favorable position regarding its quest to advance to the Class 6A Division I playoffs for the third consecutive year.

To finish 3-3 in league play, the Wildcats must beat Bryan (1-8) — winless in district since 2024 — in their home finale at 7 p.m. Friday at Wildcat Stadium then prevail at first-time opponent Killeen Chaparral (2-6, 1-3) next Thursday.
