As Tuesday night’s District 12-6A contest between the Temple Wildcats and Killeen Kangaroos drew to a close, the noise in Wildcat Gym cranked up as one team pulled away with a late surge. It just wasn’t the home team.
Temple (11-13, 1-3) battled back from a tough first quarter and managed to stay within striking distance most of the night, but a late 17-4 run by the Roos (8-13, 1-2) left little doubt as the final seconds ticked off the clock during Killeen’s 56-40 win.
