The Tem-Cat freshman basketball team shut out the Pantherettes of Midway 9-0 in the first quarter in route to a 40-26 victory over Midway at Wildcat Gym.

Temple built a 9-0 lead over Midway in the first quarter and with a balanced effort 18-9 lead to the halftime locker room. using Alearia Westbrook's 10 second half points helped keep Midway at bay the remainder of the second half.

Temple was led by Alearia Westbrook with a team high 11 points.

Also for Temple, Jazale Mose, Cykhiah White and Alanah Johnson each with 5 points, Emma Flores, Ava Anderson 4 points and with 2 points each were Aniyah Wilson, Imani Woodson and Alaina Lopez.

January 3rd when they will travel to Harker Heights to take on the Lady Knights at 12:00 pm.
