The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team used a big second quarter surge to defeat Midway by a score of 34-29 at Wildcat Gym.
Temple trailed the Panterettes 9-7 going to the second quarter. However, led by Ka'Myhria Freeman's 7 second quarter points and Sanaa Rice's 6 points, Temple grabbed a 26-15 lead by halftime.
The Tem-Cats were led by Ka'Myhria Freeman with 13 points and Audre Troup with 10 points.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Sanaa Rice with 6 points; Jayden Faulks, Mariah Dixon 2 points and with 1 point was Aniya Brumet.
Temple will return to action on January 3rd when the will travel to Harker Heights for a 12:00 matchup with the Lady Knights.
