BURNET - The Temple boys freshman blue basketball team capped off a perfect 4-0 run on Saturday with a 52-29 win over Gatesville and secure first place of the junior varsity division of the Gatesville Tournament.

In the championship game, Brycen Thomas led the Wildcats with 13 points while Tristan Reaves had 12 points on a quartet of 3-pointers.

Temple also saw Elijah Hackworth and Gunnar Westbrook with 7 points, Landon Walker with 5 points, Alvin Lawrence with 3 points, Bryson Williams with 2 points and with 1 point was 2D;Andre Green.

Temple earned their way to the championship game by defeating Marble Falls 56-35 in the semifinals.

Landon Walker led the Wildcats with 14 points while Elijah Hackworth had 13 points.

Temple also got Brycen Thomas with 10 points, Gunnar Westbrook and Braylin Williams with 6 points, Bryson Williams, Tristan Reaves 4 points and with 2 points each was D'Andre Green, Alvin Lawrence and Brody Baxter.

Temple will return to action on Tuesday when they will host a traveling team from Australia beginning at 5:00 pm.
