BURNET - The Temple boys freshman white basketball team opened play in the Burnet Tournament on Thursday with a pair of dominating wins.
In game 1, the Wildcats defeated Dominic Savio by a score of 72-37.
Temple held a slim 24-23 lead over Savio following the first half of play. However, with Leelon Harris'6 third quarter points, the Wildcats were able to seize a 43-31 lead going to the fourth.
Darius Love Brown led the Wildcats with 15 points while Cody Harris and Aiden Hamilton had 12 points apiece.
Also for Temple, Marcus Davis, Sebastian and Leelon Harris each had 6 points; Ben Russell and Jaylen McNeil with 4 points, Jayden Meredith and Jayden Razo with 3 points.
Game 2 saw Temple defeat Lago Vista by a score of 77-20.
Temple was led by Darius Love Brown and Jaylen McNeil with 12 points each.
Also for Temple, Cody Harris had 10 points, Jayden Razo and Lealon Harris with 8 points, Sebastian and Aiden Hamilton with 6 points, Jayden Meredith 5 points, Marcus Davis, and Dario with 2 points.
Temple will return to action on Saturday with an 8:30 am game time.
