The Temple Tem-Cats withstood a late rally from the Lake Belton Lady Broncos to hold on for a 40-32 victory in a non-district clash Tuesday night at Bronco Gym.
Lake used a 12-0 run in the fourth quarter to claw back into the contest, though Temple (6-6) did enough down the stretch to bring its record back to .500.
Lake Belton (4-8) made a push after Temple’s Dejah Thomas knocked down an elbow jumper to push the Tem-Cats’ lead to 34-20.
