The Wildcat junior varsity basketball held a tight 24-19 lead over Del Valle at the halftime intermission. However, an 11 point third quarter quarter performance from Jayden Watkins helped the Wildcat distance themselves from the Cardinals as Temple defeated Del Valle at Wildcat Gym on Tuesday by a score of 54-35.

Watkins led the Wildcats in scoring a team high 17 points while Devonte McClennon and Jeremiah Blunson each had 9 points with Blunson having a hot hand from 3-point range with a trio of 3-pointers.

Also for the Wildcats, Terrell House had 6 points, Dashawn Liggon 5 points, Xavier Wilson 4 points and with 2 points each were Thomas Stewart-Rains, Brendan Watters and Samuel Smith

Temple will return to action on Thursday when they will participate in the Belton ISD Tournament.
