BELTON - The Tem-Cat Freshman Whose basketball team defeated Belton High on Friday by a score of 41-13 in their first game of the season.

A slow start saw the Tem-Cats up 7-3 after one quarter of play. However, the pace picked up in the season quarter as Jonaeshia Harris and Laniah Caldwell-Davis each scored 4 points and the Tem-Cats led 20-8 at halftime.

In the third, Yalynn Brown tallied 6 points as Temple continued to extend their lead to 33-12 going to the fourth.

Jonaeshia Harris led the Tem-Cats with 11 points while Aaliyah Peoples had 8 points and with 6 points each were Laniah Caldwell-Davis and Yalynn Brown. With 2 points each were Samara Smith, Dehilla Lara, Kendyl Pittman and Kaylee Cartwright.
