BELTON - Temple junior Tierney Perkins posted a season high 25 points as the Tem-Cats rolled past Belton by a score of 48-33 at Tiger Gym on Friday evening.
Perkins recorded a solid overall game shooting 7 of 9 from 2 point range and 3 of 7 from 3-point range. She also had 4 rebounds, 3 assist an a steal.
Temple actually trailed the Lady Tigers 20-18 at halftime, but a 16-6 third quarter and 14-7 fourth quarter saw Temple blow past Belton for the victory.
Senior Dawn Smith was also a huge contributor to the win with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assist and a steal.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Jesse Johnson had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assist; Kendal Tate 2 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assist and Dejah Thomas 2 points 10 rebounds, steal and a block.
Temple will return to action on Tuesday with a 12:30 matchup with Bryan Rudder on the road.
