WACO - The Tem-Cat freshman basketball team remain unbeaten following a 50-30 victory over Waco High on Tuesday evening.

Waco High stayed within striking distance of the Tem-Cats in the first half as Temple took a 18-9 lead to the locker room. However, a 26 point outburst in the third quarter keyed by a pair of 3-pointers from Meghan Jackson out the Tem-Cats in full control of the game.

Jackson led the Tem-Cats with a team high 13 points while Ava Anderson and Alearia Westbrook each had 8 points. Also for the Tem-Cats, Cykharia White had 6 points, Jazale Mose, Imani Woodson, Alanah Johnson 4 points and with 2 points Emmy Flores.

Temple (6-0) will return to action on Friday with a road game at Belton beginning at 5:00 pm.
