The Temple junior varsity boys basketball team trailed the visiting Pflugerville Connally Cougars much of the night. However, the Wildcats staged a fourth quarter comeback which came up short as Temple fell to Connally 40-38.

Temple trailed 19-13 at the half and despite Devonte McClennon's pair of 3rd quarter 3-pointers, the Wildcat found themselves down 32-25 going to the fourth. In the fourth, the Wildcats were sparked by a pair of buckets from Jayden Watkins and momentum building 3-pointer from Jerimiah Blunson. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, their valiant effort came up two points short.

Devonte McClennon led the Wildcats with 12 points on the night while Jayden Watkins had 8 points, Terrell House and Xavier Wilson 4 points, Jeremiah Blunson and Brendan Watters 3 points and with 2 points each were B Carr and Sam Smith.

Temple will be back at home on Friday when they will host Elgin at Wildcat Gym beginning at 5:30 pm.
