COLLEYVILLE - The Tem-Cat basketball team used a strong performance from senior Dejah Thomas to snap their three game losing streak and defeat Dallas Hillcrest by a score of 48-30 on day two of the Colleyville Heritage Tip-Off Classic.
Thomas posted team, high in points and rebounds as she recorded 20 points and 14 rebounds. Thomas would go 6-12 from the field and 8 for 16 from the free throw line and even record a steal and a block.
Dawn Smith was also a presence in the victory with 11 points and 6 rebounds and a pair of 3-pointers.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Kendall Tate had 7 points, Ava Machuca 3 points and with 2 points each were Tierney Perkins, Jesse Johnson and Kamiya Porter, Rounding out the scoring was Maciah Morgan with 1 point.
Temple will return to action on Saturday morning where they will face Keller Central in the Seventh Place game beginning at 9:00 am.
