Among all the athletes who play high school football, few ever know how it feels to score three touchdowns in a game.
Bradyn Williams, Temple’s 5-foot-11, 165-pound junior wide receiver, is in that select group. Fast, fluid, explosive and competitive, Williams already has produced three three-touchdown performances as a first-year varsity starter.
After making touchdowns receptions of 50, 81 and 46 yards in the Wildcats’ 49-21 home victory over Bryan last Friday, Williams has recorded 51 catches for 831 yards and 13 TDs as playoff-hungry Temple (3-6, 2-3) enters its District 12-6A finale against Killeen Chaparral (2-7, 1-4) at 7 tonight at Searles Stadium.
That’s elite output for a player who doesn’t turn 17 until Jan. 2 and enjoyed playing defense more than offense as a young player.
