HUTTO — After breaking through for their first win of the season last week at home, the Temple Wildcats aimed for a road victory against Hutto and a two-game winning streak entering District 12-6A action.
The Hippos clearly had other ideas in Friday night’s non-district finale at Hutto Memorial Stadium.
Jaiden Fields caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Micah Antoun 2 minutes into the game, and Carson Fields returned a Temple fumble 70 yards for a TD 4 minutes later as Hutto overwhelmed the Wildcats for a quick 14-0 lead en route to a 34-0 advantage, and the Hippos cruised from there to win 53-14.
