Late last Friday night at Wildcat Stadium, Chad President just couldn’t bring himself to watch.

Nearly 12 months earlier at the same venue, Temple’s head coach saw Killeen Shoemaker’s Joushua Narvaez Torres kick a 28-yard field goal as time expired to give the Grey Wolves a dramatic 31-28 win over the Wildcats in a back-and-forth District 12-6A opener.

After Temple lost its first two games this season, President’s Wildcats were staring an 0-3 record in the face as San Antonio Pieper kicker Jack Blische trotted onto Bob McQueen Field with 1 second remaining in a 49-49 game to attempt a 32-yard field goal for the victory.
