HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — In a high-intensity District 12-6A showdown Tuesday evening at Harker Heights High School, the Temple Tem-Cats outlasted the Harker Heights Lady Knights in a five-set nail-biter, taking the match 15-25, 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13.
After dropping a tough opening set, Temple rallied behind key dynamic performances to claim the next two games before holding off a surging Harker Heights squad in the deciding fifth set.

Kendall Tate: Recorded a sensational triple-double with 14 digs, 12 kills, 30 assists, and 6 blocks to control the pace of the match.

After opening District 12-6A play with a loss to Midway (2-0), Temple bounced back last Friday with a sweep over Bryan (25-19, 25-17, 25-18). Tuesday’s victory moves the Tem-Cats to 2-1 in district play.
Temple returns to the court on Friday, September 18, traveling to Killeen to take on unbeaten Chaparral High School (2-0) at 6:00 PM.
