TEMPLE, TX — It was a picturesque day for track and field at Wildcat Stadium this past Saturday. Under sunny skies and a warm breeze, the Temple Wildcat junior varsity boys team defended their home turf with a powerhouse performance, securing a 2nd Place team finish in a competitive field of 11 programs.

The Wildcats racked up an impressive 170 points, trailing only the team champions from Killeen Shoemaker (231 points). Copperas Cove rounded out the top three with 84 points.

Gold Medal Highlights

Temple’s dominance was on full display in the relay events and explosive individual performances:

The Sprint Sweep: The Wildcat relay teams were nearly untouchable, taking 1st Place in both the 4x100 (42.80) and 4x200 (1:30.33). The core group of Jaron Dailey, A'Xavion Latouche, Braylin Carr, and Bradyn Williams showed exceptional chemistry and speed.

Individual Champions: Eric Shelly blazed a trail to gold in the 200 meters (22.93) and added a victory in the Long Jump (20'3 ¾). Darrius Love took the top spot in the 110m Hurdles (17.37), while Anthony Abney cleared 9'6 to win the Pole Vault.
