First-place Harker Heights defeats Temple in 12-6A matchup, 64-47

Temple built a big lead then held on late to knock off Harker Heights in a tough early January road test during the first half of district play.

The Knights returned the favor Tuesday as both teams fought for playoff positioning with the regular season squarely in its stretch run.

Isaiah Peak scored all but two of his team-high 16 points in the second half, including the game’s first eight points of the third quarter when Heights started creating some distance in its eventual 64-47 victory in a District 12-6A affair at Wildcat Gym.
