TEMPLE, TX — Despite a double-digit scoring effort from Jo'Shon Jackson, the Temple Wildcat Freshman Blue basketball team fell to the Midway Panthers, 58-47, on Tuesday night at Wildcat Gym.
The Wildcats struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, trailing 28-19 at the break. While Temple found more offensive consistency in the final two periods, matching Midway’s production down the stretch, the early nine-point deficit proved too large to overcome.
Wildcat Offensive Effort
Jo'Shon Jackson paced the Temple offense, finishing as the only Wildcat in double figures with 12 points. Jackson's ability to attack the rim kept the Wildcats within striking distance throughout the night.
Temple saw scoring contributions from across the roster, including 7 points apiece from Kaden Brown and Zephania Gibson. The team showed significant grit in the second half, scoring 28 points over the final two frames to match Midway's output, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
