Wildcat JV falls to Cove despite strong start

The Wildcat junior varsity basketball team had a strong start to their game with Copperas Cove on Saturday afternoon, but a change in momentum in the third quarter helped propel Copperas cove past Temple by a score of 69-65.

After building a 17-14 lead after one quarter, Braylin Carr blistered the Bulldawgs for 13 second quarter points as Temple built a 37-29 lead by halftime.

However, the Bulldawgs heated up and outscored the Wildcats 27-15 in the third to regain the lead and held off the Wildcat charge in the fourth.

The Wildcats were led by Braylin Carr with 21 points while Lealon Harris with 10 points.

Also for the Wildcats, D'Andre Green with 9 points, Jullian Brown and Bryson Williams 8 points, Bradyn Williams 7 points and Brycen Thomas 2 points.

Temple will return to action on January 6th when they will host Midway at 5:30 pm.
