After a sluggish first quarter start, the Wildcat defense clamped down and the offense heated up as the Wildcat JV basketball team coasted past Belton 69-43 at Wildcat Gym on Friday evening.
Trailing 13-7 after one quarter of play, the Wildcats exploded for 28 second quarter points to grab a 35-27 lead by halftime. The surge was highlighted by Brycen Thomas' 6 points and Jullian Brown's five second quarter points.
Temple exploded for 30 third quarter points which was sparked by Braylin Carr's four 3-pointers in the quarter.
Temple was led By Braylin Carr with a team high 21 points while Brycen Thomas had 18 points and Jullian Brown with 14 points.
Also for the Wildcats, Bradyn Williams 7 points, Brody Baxter and Bryson Williams each with 4 points and closing out the scoring was Darrius Love Brow with 1 point.
