The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team dropped their District 12-6A opener against Bryan on Tuesday night by a score of 45-28.

The Tem-Cats stayed within striking distance of the Lady Vikings all night trailing only 27-22 going to the fourth, unfortunately an 18-6 fourth quarter run by Bryan kept the Tem-Cats from overcoming the Lady Vikings.

The Tem-Cats were led by Kimorah Fillmore who had 6 points while Ava Anderson, Azul Ceja and Eowyn Bristol each had 5 points.

Also for Temple, Cykhiah White with 3 points, Alaina Lopez 2 points and with one point each was Emmy Flores and Elysia Cortez.

Temple will return to action on Friday with a non-district road game at College Station beginning at 2:30 pm.
