Tem-Cats get road win at China Spring 43-36

CHINA SPRING - The Temple Tem-cats snapped their two game losing streak on Friday with a 43-36 road victory over China Spring.

In a contest that was tight through out the night, the two teams were knotted at 8-8 after one quarter and the Tem-Cats holding a slim 15-13 lead at the half.

Avery Perez scored 6 third quarter points as the Tem-Cats carried a 27-26 lead going to the fourth. In the fourth, Temple got a pair of buckets from Tierney Perkins and Maciah Morgan, along with a 3-pointer from Perez to extend the Tem-Cat lead and secure the 43-36 outcome.

Junior Avery Perez led the Tem-Cats in scoring with 12 points while fellow junior Kendall Tate had 8 points.

Also for Temple with 6 points each were Tierney Perkins and Maciah Morgan while Aniyah Brumet had 4 points and with 2 points each were Mariah Dixon, Aaliyah Paul and Alanah Johnson. Ja'Marea Wilson closed out the scoring with 1 point.

Temple (8-9) will return to action on December 16th when the will host Bryan in their District 12-6A opener at Wildcat Gym. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm.
