WACO - The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball swept a pair of games in Thursday's Waco High basketball tournament and will now advance to the tournaments championship game on Saturday. Temple defeated La Vega and University to reach the title game and will square off against Lake Belton at 12:00 pm.

In Game 1, the Tem-Cats defeated La Vega by a score of 24-21. The Tem-Cats were led by Jazale Mose and Cykhiah White who each scored 6 points.

Also for Temple, Kimorah Fillmore had 5 points, Ava Anderson and Eowyn Bristol each with 3 points. Alaina Lopez had 1 point.

In the semifinal game, Temple defeated University by a score of 28-23. Once again leading the scoring for Temple was Jazale Mose and Cykhiah White with 6 points each.

Also for Temple with 4 points each were Emmy Flores, Eowyn Bristol, Kimorah Fillmore and Alaina Lopez.
