WACO - The Tem-Cat freshman basketball teams won a pair of games on Thursday in the Waco ISD Tournament. as a result, the Tem-Cats now advance to the championship game that is set to be played on Saturday.
Temple opened play with a 46-10 victory over Waco High. Kyleigh Juarez was the star of the game with 24 points while Catherine Dunklin had 10 points.
Also for the Tem-Cats, Sha'Kyhria Freeman had 6 points and with 2 points each were Hayden Williams, Saniya Blunson and Deonnie Jones.

In the semifinal game, Temple pulled away from a 27-27 at the half to beast Lake Belton by a score of 47-41. Kyliegh Juarez led Temple with a team high 23 points while Catherine Dunklin had 10 points.
Also for Temple, Saniya Blunson with 8 points, Sha'Kyhria Freeman 4 points and Hayden Williams with 2 points.
