The Temple junior varsity girls varsity girls basketball team built a 25-1 lead over Waco High in the first and coasted to a 58-19 victory over the Lady Lions on Tuesday evening at Wildcat Gym.

Eowyn Bristol sparked the first quarter run with 11 points in the first 8 minutes as Temple built the early 25-1 first quarter run. Following a quiet second quarter, Ava Anderson scored 8 third quarter points as the Tem-Cats sealed the game away with a 24-3 run in the third.

Eowin Bristol and Ava Anderson led the Tem-Cats in scoring with 13 points each.

Also for Temple, Laniah Caldwell Davis and Jazale Mose with 7 points, Emmy Flores and Azul Ceja with 6 points, Alaina Lopez 4 points, Meghan Jackson 3 points and with 2 points were Aaliyah Peoples, Cykhiah White and Kimorah Fillmore.

Temple will be back in action on Thursday as they will participate in the Waco ISD Tournament.
