TEM-CAT FRESHMAN GO 1-2 AT BELTON TOURNAMENT

Tem-Cat Freshman go 1-2 at Belton Tournament

BELTON - The Tem-Cat freshman basketball team went 1-2 in this weeks Belton ISD basketball tournament. Temple dropped their first two games against A&M Consolidated and the Belton Red team on Thursday and rebounded for a victory on Saturday over Belton White.

In their opener against A&M Consolidated, the Tem-Cats fell to A&M Consolidated by a score of 33-32.

Kyleigh Juarez led Temple with 16 points while Sha'Kyhria Freeman had 7 points, Hayden Williams 3 points and with 2 points were Catherine Dunklin, Keianna Byrd and Ma'Kayla Pendelton.

Game 2 saw Temple fall to Belton Red by a score of 39-35.

Kyleigh Juarez led Temple again with 12 points while Catherine Dunklin and Sha'Kyhria Freeman each had 8 points.

Also for Temple, Hayden Williams had 5 points and Keianna Byrd with 2 points.

On Saturday, the Tem-Cats beast the Belton White team by a score of 50-12.

Temple had a trio of players in double digits with Sha'Kyhria Freeman with 16 points, Kyleigh Juarez 14 and Catherine Dunklin with 10 points.

Also for Temple, Hayden Williams and Ma'Kayla Pendleton each had 4 points and Addison Pemberton had 2 points.

Temple now stands at 8-2 on the season and will return to action on December 11th in the Waco Tournament. Temple will face Waco High at 12:00 and Belton Red at 3:00.
