The Temple girls freshman basketball team rallied from a 6 point halftime deficit on Tuesday evening to defeat Lake Belton by a score of 43-41 at Wildcat Gym.
With the Tem-Cats trailing 23-17 at the half, Kyliegh Juarez (6 points) and Catherine Dunklin 5 in the third quarter sparked Temple to a 13-3 run and pushed the Tem-Cats into the lead 30-26 going to the fourth. In the fourth, Juarez stayed hot sinking a pair of 3-pointers and 9 total points in the final 8 minutes.
The Tem-Cats were led by Kyliegh Juarez with 18 points and Catherine Dunklin with 17.
Also for Temple, Sha'Kyhria Freeman with 6 points and Ma'Kayla Pendleton with 2 points.
