The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team used a strong first half performance to roll past Robinson in their home opener on Tuesday evening by a score of 46-16.
The Tem-Cats dominated the first half as they built a 27-7 lead by halftime over the Rockettes. Azul Ceja sparked the first half surge with a 3-pointer and 9 first half points and Elysia Cortez posted 6 first half points.
Temple was led by Azul Ceja who posted a team high 9 points while Elysia Cortez tallied 8 points and Eowyn Bristol had 6 points.
Also for Temple with 4 points was Aniya Wilson, Azaria Ellison, Cykhiah White and Meghan Jackson. With 2 points each were Ava Anderson and Kimorah Fillmore while Emmy Flores had 1 point.
Temple 5-1 will return to action on November 24th when they travel to Pflugerville to take on Connally at 11:00 am.
