Tem-Cats knock off Robinson in home opener

Azzie Knox made her mark on Temple’s girls basketball program as a player in the early 2000s before moving on to the collegiate level and then overseas as a pro.

She returned to Wildcat Gym on Tuesday in her new role as head coach and helped the Tem-Cats open their home slate for the new season on the right foot.

Temple slowly wore down Robinson with a defense that made the Rockets work the entire length of the court the whole night, holding off another late push from the visitors to record a hard-fought 36-28 victory in a non-district meeting.
