AUSTIN - The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team bounced back from going 1-1 on the opening day of the Austin McCallum Tournament with a pair of victories on Saturday and take 3rd Place in the season opening tournament.

Temple opened play on Saturday with a 33-17 win over Elgin and then defeated Marble Falls 22-18 in the 3rd Place game.

In their opening win over Elgin, Cykhiah White led the Tem-Cats with 6 points while four more players finished with 4 points each, Ava Anderson, Emmy Flores, Eowyn Bristol and Alaina Lopez. Megahn Jackson had 3 points and with 2 points each were Jade Donoso, Jazle Mose, Azul Ceja and Kimorah Fillmore.

In the 3rd Place trophy game, Temple defeated Marble Falls 22-18. Temple was led by Emmy Flores with 6 points while Cykhiah White and Eowyn Bristol each had 4 points. Also for Temple, Azul Ceja and Meghan Jackson with 3 points and with 2 points was Kimorah Fillmore.

Temple 4-1 on the season will return to play on Tuesday when they will host Robinson in their home opener beginning at 5:15.
