While trying to hang on to third in a tightly contested District 12-6A race, the Tem-Cats found their mojo by dispatching second-place Copperas Cove 6-3 on an emotional senior night at Tem-Cat Field.
After the teams traded a run apiece through the first 2 1/2 innings, it was the fiery bats of Temple (13-9-1, 7-4) that propelled it to victory thanks to a four-run third frame.
