WACO - The Tem-Cat junior varsity volleyball team earned a hard fought 26-24 victory in set 1 and cruised to a 25-14 victory in set 2 to sweep the Lady Trojans of University on Tuesday evening.

Madison Bond paced the Tem-Cats with 4 kills, 5 assist and 3 digs while Arielah Vargas had 3 kills and 2 aces.

Also for the Tem-Cats, Gabi Barbosa, 2 kills, 2 digs, Avery Perez 2 kills, 2 aces; Mia Taylor 2 kills; Aaliyah Abddeen 2 kills; Cheyenne Kepler, 1 ace, 1 assist and Chloe Watkins 1 dig.

Temple improves to 8-2 on the season and will return to play on Thursday with a pair of games in the Belton ISD Tournament beginning at 2:00 pm.
