TEMPLE, TX — The Temple Wildcat Junior Varsity track and field team capped off a season of immense growth with a powerhouse performance on their home turf this week. Competing in the District 12-6A Championships at Wildcat Stadium on April 8-9, the Wildcats battled their way to a 2nd Place team finish, amassing 164.70 points.
While Killeen Shoemaker took the top spot with 186.60 points, the Wildcats comfortably outpaced third-place Harker Heights (99 points), proving that the future of Temple track and field is in very capable hands.
The Champions & Medalists
The Wildcats’ trophy case got a workout this week, led by standout Bradyn Williams, who dominated the sprints. Williams secured individual gold in the 200 meters and anchored the gold-medal-winning 4x200 relay team. Eric Shelly also reached the top of the podium with a massive leap in the Long Jump, while the relay teams showed Temple's depth by medaling in every single event.
