TEM-CATS SEASON COMES TO END WITH SERIES LOSS TO WYLIE

Tem-Cats season comes to end with series loss to Wylie

WAXAHACHIE - The Tem-Cat softball team unfortunately saw their season come to an end on Thursday with 12-3 loss to Wylie at Waxahachie High School. Locked in a 4-3 ball game in the fifth, the Lady Pirates erupted for eight runs in the fifth and that proved to be too much for the Tem-Cats to overcome. Wylie won the Area Round series 2-0 and the Tem-Cats season end with a record 17-13-1.

Wylie took an 2-0 lead on Temple in the top of the second before the Tem-Cat responded with a 3-run bottom of the second. Wylie regained the lead in the fourth with 2 runs before exploding for eight runs in the fifth.

Temple collected 8 hits on the day with three Tem-Cats recording a pair of hits. Brooke Knox and Madyson Combs were each 2-4 while Kaegan Yepma was 2-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored.

Saniya Maxwell went 1-3 and Glory Foreman was 1-3 with a sacrifice fly RBI.

Brooke Knox took the loss throwing 6.1 innings of ball giving up 4 runs on 9 hits while Kaitlyn Teeters pitched 2/3 of an inning giving up 0 earned runs on 4 hits.
