AUSTIN - The Tem-Cat junior varsity basketball team rolled to a pair of impressive victories in their opening round games of the Austin McCallum Tournament. Temple won their opener over Marble Falls by a score of 70-0 and later defeated Manor by a score of 48-20.
In their opener, the Tem-cats defeated Marble Falls by a score of 70-0 as it was a game that everything seem to go right for the Tem-Cats.
Audrey Troup led Temple with a team high 20 points while Sanaa Rice had 12 points, Mariah Dixon 8 points, Sha'Nyah Roby and Ka'Myhria Freeman each with 6 points, Jade Donoso 5 points, Jazarah Canady and Aniya Brumet 4 points, Jayden Faulks 3 points and with 2 points was Aaliya Abddeen.
In the nightcap, Temple defeated Marble Falls by a score of 48-20.
Ka'Myhria Freeman led the Tem-cats with 14 points while Audrey Troup, Jazarah Canady and Mariah Dixon 8 points; Jayden Faulks with 4 points and Aniyah Brumet with 2 points.
Temple (4-0) returns to play on Saturday with a semifinal matchup beginning at 11:00 am.
