WACO– The Temple junior varsity girls cross country team competed in the District 12-6A Championships on Thursday morning at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.
The Tem-Cats took 2nd Place in the team standings with 39 points while Midway was the team champion with 27 points.
The Tem-Cats were paced by a trio of Top 10 finishers led by Maliah Neal who took 4th Place in the 500 meter run in a time of 23:29. samara Smith was 5th in a time of 23:33 and Kylee Dupar 6th in a time of 23:37.
Patince Savage narrowly missed the Top 10 as she placed 12th 24:51 and she was followed by Leslie Lopez Fuentez 18th (25:33).
