WILDCAT CROSS COUNTRY TAKES 2ND PLACE AT THE 12-6A CHAMPIONSHIPS

Wildcat Cross Country takes 2nd Place at the 12-6A Championships

WACO– The Temple varsity boys cross country team competed in the District 12-6A Championships on Thursday morning at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.

The Wildcats took 2nd Place in the teams standings with 64 points while Midway won the team title with 49 points.

The Wildcats were led by Xavier Tools who placed 3rd Place overall and ran the 3 mile course in a time of 16:05 with Caleb McCarver of Midway earning the individual championship with a time of 15:40.

The Wildcats also saw four more members finish in the Top 20 to account for the much of the team success. Those were:

Christian Watson - 13th (17:05)
Dominick Montalbo - 14th (17:11)
Sebastian Castilleja - 15th (17:21)
Adan Hernandez - 19th (17:40)
Roberto Borbonio Cabazos - 23rd (17:56)
Chris Sorrells - 27th (18:14)

Temple returns to competition on October 2 as they will run in the Class 6A Regional Championships hosted by the University of Texas at Arlington.
