WACO– The Temple varsity girls cross country team won their first team title of the season as they took 1st Place in the Hewitt Midway Kiwanis Invitational held at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco.
The Tem-Cats took 1st Place in the teams standings with 43 points while host Midway was a close second with 48.
Temple was led by a trio of top 10 runners that included Maya Ramirez who placed 3rd overall as she completed the 3-mile course in a time of 20:09 while Analisa Terry was right behind in 4th Place 20:10 and Sterling Griffith in 10th Place (21:52).

Temple returns to competition on September 12 as they will run in the Salado Invitational at Tenroc Park.
