TEMPLE, Texas — The second season is here. After a hard-fought regular season, the Temple Wildcat baseball team is set to open the 2026 UIL postseason with a high-stakes bi-district series against the Mesquite Horn Jaguars.
Head Coach Stacy Largent’s squad enters the playoffs battle-tested, having navigated a competitive District 12-6A slate. The Wildcats will rely on a veteran core including seniors Francisco Gonzalez, Yahir Bocanegra, and Champ Mayo to provide the leadership and defensive stability required for playoff success.
The Jaguars of Mesquite Horn come into the matchup after finishing in the top half of District 11-6A. This best-of-three series will be a clash of styles, with the neutral sites of Whitney and Glen Rose serving as the backdrop for what promises to be a physical, fast-paced series.

Game 1: Wednesday, April 29 @ Whitney High School – 6:30 pm
Game 2: Thursday, April 30 @ Glen Rose High School – 7:30 pm
Game 3 (If Necessary): Friday, May 1 @ Whitney High School – 6:30 pm
Ticket Information
For the contests held at Whitney High School (Game 1 and Game 3), all tickets are priced at $6.00. Fans have the flexibility of purchasing tickets in two ways:

Note: Ticket pricing and purchasing details for Game 2 at Glen Rose High School are still pending and will be announced at a later time.
