Temple returned home Tuesday night for the first time since the start of the season and the result was just as pleasing for the Wildcats as it was about a month ago.
Behind a stingy effort from Cavalli Nealy on the mound and a speedy offense that wreaked havoc on the basepaths, the Wildcats vaulted to a 20-1 run-rule victory over Killeen Shoemaker in a District 12-6A opener at Hallford Field.
Cisco Gonzalez’s three-run home run carried out to left field in the third inning to highlight Temple’s outburst, which was aided by nine Shoemaker errors and fueled by 13 walks and two hit batsmen issued by three Grey Wolves pitchers.
