WILLIS – The Temple Wildcat Track & Field team traveled to Yates Stadium on Saturday to compete in the inaugural Willis Wildkat Relays. Facing a formidable 14-team field—largely comprised of powerhouse programs from the greater Houston area—the Wildcats showcased their depth across both field and running events.
The highlight of the day came from the Coed 4x400 Relay team, which secured a podium finish, while several individuals earned top-ten placements against some of the region's fastest competition.
Field Event Standouts
Temple’s presence was felt early in the field, with the "blue and white" consistently hitting marks in the throws and jumps. Javier Agard led the way in the discus with a toss of 128’8, while Jayme Wilson and Cameran Richburg both secured 7th-place finishes in the high jump and pole vault, respectively.

Track & Relay Highlights
On the track, Khamani Sanders delivered a standout performance in the 100 meters, sprinting to a 5th-place finish with a blistering time of 10.81. Adan Hernandez mirrored that success in the middle distance, taking 5th in the 800 meters.
The relay units faced a gauntlet of Houston-area speed. The 4x100 and 4x200 teams both finished in the top ten, but the star of the afternoon was the Coed 4x400 Relay. The quartet of Cameran Richburg, Kylie Dupar, Adan Hernandez, and Maliah Neal surged to a 3rd-place finish with a time of 3:49.14.
